Prompt:
Title: Dedication 118 words
The barrel of the gun was pressing into my head, loaded and ready. “Hurry up!” the terrorist barked in my ear. He shoved me into a room with all the other hostages, the gun still on my forehead. Once I was inside he snatched the gun back and closed the door. Locking it behind him. Outside I heard a bang, a thump and the sound of bending metal. The door unlocked and opened. We all crowded in the corner. A young man poked his head through the door. “It’s okay.” he said. “He’s gone.”
10 years later the gun the man had used was made into a sculpture and was dedicated to the man that saved our lives.

Prompt: ‘...however, she couldn’t believe what she had done…’
Title: Stolen
Title: Stolen
136 words
As Ava stood over the dead body with the bloody knife in her hand, she collapsed on the floor. Grace had ruined her life, why was she guilty? Grace was dead, she was free. However, she couldn’t believe what she had done. Dropping the knife Ava turned and fled, down the street, away from the body. On and on she ran, and at Grace’s house she ended up. Into her room Ava went and she grabbed what was rightfully hers. The thing Grace took that infuriated Ava so much that the only solution was to kill her. Now that she had what she needed, Ava sprinted back to her house, her safe haven. She opened her hand and lay the contents carefully on her desk. The only thing that mattered in her life. A blue paperclip.
